Splash Damage has announced that it's currently developing a new title, Project Astrid, in partnership with gaming streamers Christopher "Sacriel" Ball and Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek.

Astrid is described as a AAA open-world survival game, and it is currently in pre-production.

Ball and Grzesiek will officially serve as executive creators on the development team.

Splash Damage said the pair bring expertise as players, community builders, and streamers.

Creative director of Astrid, Lance Winter said, "Sacriel and Shroud are core members of our development team, bringing with them a unique and fresh perspective."

"Not only that, but they're providing us brand new insights into what fans and creators actually want from their gaming experiences. No one knows this genre better than they do."
