Hey all, I’m back with another Anime Sunday with this week being a look at one of the previous season’s new shows. It’s my “Jitsu wa Ore, Saikyou Deshita” Episode 01 Impressions.

Plot: This first episode is pretty standard reincarnation and Isekai stuff, it’s not exactly cliché, but it’s not completely new either. Frankly while it’s not bad, I can’t say I would recommend it over other shows. It’s about a young man who is reincarnated into a magical fantasy world as a newborn prince. His royal parents abandoned him in the forest when his magical powers were mistakenly assessed to be weak, but his power levels are actually very strong. He was then secretly adopted by a relative of the king and named Haruto.

Characters: Haruto is the main character who is secretly being raised by the king’s relative and his family. Honestly, I don’t particularly enjoy him as the main character, although another character named Flay is much more entertaining.

Art: The art of this show is okay but not great. It certainly isn’t anywhere near my gold standard of ufotable quality.

Music: It fits the show, but that’s about all I can say about it. It’s really not that memorable or outstanding.

Overall: This is an okay show, but frankly it’s a mediocre Reincarnation/Isekai Anime that is outperformed by a lot of others.

For those who enjoy: Reincarnation, Isekai, Fantasy, Action, Comedy, and Good Characters.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
