A Breakdown for Budgeting: How to?

Filmustage

We have already established that script breakdown is a key stage in the preparation of any film. It is also quite obvious that a script breakdown makes it possible to start the scheduling of the shooting. However, in this process, we have so far avoided what both breakdown and scheduling are directly related to - budgeting. So today, Filmustage will define how to calculate a budget for your movie.

Using Coding to Keep Your Kid's Mind Sharp During Summer Break

Real Programming

Summer is the time for children to unwind, relax, and take a break from their usual routines. They need to get outdoors and run around, see some friends and relatives, and enjoy being in different environments. However, parents are understandably worried about their children slipping through the cracks in terms of schooling. D2 log 063 – Ammo box

Catnip Games

Recently I ran into a design problem. Some enemies in the game will be immune to bullets and you’ll have to use grenades. Of which you can only carry a few. What if you miss and run out? You’d have to restart the level. For a moment I considered loot drops. For something you’d be required to get they seemed too random and potentially frustrating.

Filmustage

It is not a secret that the game dev industry has become one of the most attention-grabbing in the entertainment field. What is particularly interesting there is a special way in which game developers tell stories through their interactive art. Simply put, games also may have a narrative, and it works in a very different way than in movies! First, of course, we want to define what narrative is.

The Meanings & Consequences of Rules & Algorithms

Jesper Juul

TL;DR; I used to meet resistance to the idea that video game rules (usually expressed in the programming) and algorithms can be meaningful or important. I discuss four ways game rules can create meaning and/or have political implications.
