Release candidate: Godot 3.4.1 RC 1

Mircosoft Game Dev

Godot 3.4 was released earlier this month, and it went fairly smoothly! Many thanks to all the contributors who worked on it, including all testers who tried beta and RC releases to ensure that the 3.4-stable branch would be an easy and worthwhile upgrade path for all users. No software release is perfect though, so there will always be some things to iron out, which is why we usually provide maintenance releases for stable branches, focusing on bugfixing and preserving compatibility (see our re

Retro Game Friday: Metal Slug 2

Game Industry News

Hey all I’m back with the sequel to the game I covered last time for this week’s Retro Game Friday. It’s Metal Slug 2! Plot: The plot is pretty much a direct continuation of the nonesense that was the first game’s plot. With Rossi and Roving once again sent against a group aiming at world domination. Honestly it’s so stereotypical that it’s nothing really noteworthy.

Web 3.0: from cynicism to evangelism

Gamesbrief

His worlds are both puppet-like and frighteningly realistic, which makes his work very interesting to watch and analyse. Plus, the director's new film, ''French Dispatch'' , is currently in cinemas, so there's no better time to immerse yourself in Wes Andreeson's particular directorial styl

Deconstructor of Fun

This analysis is written by Hadrian Semroud and Javier Barnes. Opinions shared are personal and do not reflect those of their employers. On paper, Pokemon Unite was a slam dunk. It’s a MOBA done by Tencent’s TiMi Studios. The same studio that is responsible for t he biggest MOBA in the World, Honor of Kings. Terror Firma: On Making the Right Choice

Game Industry News

HERE THERE BE SPOILERS. I realize that this episode aired last week and that both a new episode of Prodigy and of Discovery air today, but I’m alternating between the two shows, which means I’ll be a week behind in this space until something changes. I realize that delay puts me a bit behind the power curve, so I thank you for bearing with me. In addition, if you’re celebrating American Thanksgiving today, I hope it’s a good one.
