So, how do you upgrade it then? To get access to upgrades for your broom you’ll need to complete a bunch of time trial side quests versus Slytherin student, Imelda. Then you need to visit Albie Weekes in Hogsmeade.

You won’t get access to the upgrade right away; you’ll receive an owl when it’s ready.

  • Upgrade 1 costs 1000 gold.
  • Upgrade 2 costs 4000 gold.
  • Upgrade 3 costs 7500 gold.

Each of the time trials gets progressively harder, the first is almost too easy but don’t be fooled into thinking all three trials will be a walk over.
