CG Spectrum is wrapping up another creative and memorable year! To celebrate, we share a constellation of out-of-this-world work completed by our dedicated students while studying virtual production, digital painting, animation, 3D modeling, visual effects, and game development throughout 2022.

This year wouldn't have been possible without our incredibly talented industry mentors who have taught, encouraged, and inspired our students, helping them build the skills to break into or move up in the competitive film and games industry!

It's not only been a big year for our students — CG Spectrum has also been making the most of 2022. Check out some of our highlights:

  • We launched CG Spectrum Institute, the Australian arm of CG Spectrum Global, which focuses on business courses with a creative twist. (There are six scholarships still on offer, worth $100K total! Find out more.).
  • Our Dune-inspired commercial was released, made entirely in-house by some of our Department Heads and mentors.
  • We ranked in the top 20 schools in the world for concept art and illustration3D animation, and visual effects.
  • CGS alumni across all disciplines were employed at VFX and video game studios worldwide, including Ulysses (FX), James (animation), Ben (VFX compositing), and Marc (virtual production), Oliver (digital painting), and Manuel (game design).
  • Joining forces with Warner Bros. Discovery Access, we helped train three virtual production students to prepare them to work on a stage volume for HBO's House of the Dragon.
  • 170+ industry mentors offered up their expertise to help train and prepare 1100+ students for work in the film, games, and publishing industries. 
  • Our online community logged in from over 60+ countries.

Shoshanah has almost a decade of visual effects production experience, coordinating VFX teams in Australia and London. Her credits include Mad Max: Fury Road, Ant-Man, John Wick: Parabellum, Game of Thrones, and Christopher Robin. She now enjoys getting to write about the film and games industry.
