James Batchelor and Chris Dring dive into the biggest stories of the past week in our weekly Microcast, which you can watch below or listen to on the podcasting platform of your choice.

Following a quiet week - at least in terms of business news - the two discuss the slew of announcements from and around the Nintendo Partner Direct, and the opportunities afforded to games that might have struggled to gain attention in a blockbuster-heavy year like 2023.

We also discuss the industry's ongoing data deficiency issues that make it hard to difficult to truly ascertain which games are the most successful - although, as Chris observes, the data that is available is still important.
