It's the third PR firm acquired by the services provider in recent years

Services provider Keywords has acquired US-based games PR firm Fortyseven Communications.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, with Keywords only saying that it includes "contingent consideration payable in a mix of cash and new ordinary shares depending on the future performance of the company over the three years from completion."

Fortyseven was founded in 2006 and employs 55 staff across four offices in New York, San Francisco, Denver, and its HQ in Los Angeles. CEO Sibel Sunar will continue heading the firm, which generated revenue of approximately $11 million in the 12 months ended on September 30, 2022.

This is the third PR acquisition in the past couple of years for Keywords, having acquired UK-based company Indigo Pearl for £1.1 million in 2021, and Italian company LabCom last December.
