Samar Studio | [September 27, 2023] Samar Studio has announced The Front, a time-traveling open-world survival game where you fight against a tyrannical empire, will launch in Early Access on October 11. The Front takes place in a post-apocalyptic world littered with various mutants and rival factions. Players will battle against brutal imperial forces, thugs, and rebels while unveiling a struggle that will determine the fate of humanity. Team up with friends to explore ruins, sweep away monster colonies, build bases, set up trap towers for defense, upgrade technology to craft weapons and equipment, and pilot a wide range of ground and air vehicles, from tanks to planes, to defend your home against the Empire!

In a post-apocalyptic world, survival is key. Build bases that are unrestricted by terrain and your creative imagination. Create and implement tower defense-like traps to fend off monsters and enemy soldiers impeding on your shelter. Become self-sufficient by planting your own set of crops and cooking them to feed yourself with dozens of delicious recipes. The world is also filled with friendly faces that can be recruited to help you not only in battle but allow you to use their crafting tables to further improve your bases capabilities.

Early Access Features:

  • Build Your Own Shelter: Unrestricted by terrain and unbound by ideas, there are hundreds of building components available to satisfy your imagination.

  • Unique Tower Defense Gameplay: Control enemy’s routes and arrange traps that integrate sensing, triggering, and killing to fend off the invasion of monsters such as bomb maniacs, stealthy assassins, flying soldiers, and so on.

  • Build Your own modern vehicles: Build and drive more than 20 types of vehicles, such as pickup trucks, logging trucks, mining trucks, self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, and helicopter gunships.

  • Logical Circuit: Use simple electrical parts to create complex mechanisms to accomplish various objectives. For example, an active defense system detects and attacks any incoming threats near your base automatically.

  • Recruiting NPCs: Use Jammers to capture world NPCs, in addition to assisting the player in battle, the various types of crafting tables are also an important arena to show the talent of the NPCs, which can bring extra buffs in time, output, durability and other aspects.

  • Planting and Cooking: Craft water-powered equipment to develop your own agriculture through automatic spraying and planting, and provide dozens of recipes to cook delicious food.

  • Explore the post-apocalyptic world: Cross deserts, rainforests, snow covered terrain, and swamps. Discover unknown areas such as underground institutes and military exclusion zones, collect drawings, and grab airdrops.

Early Access will allow players to unlock up to 60 levels of progression content that includes gathering and production equipment, weapons, and multiple ground and air vehicles. The Front will be available on Steam and Epic Game Store for $19.99 USD. Wishlist the game now to be notified when it releases as well as enjoying a 20% discount during the first week for $15.99 USD.
