Godot uses a considerably different approach to rendering (and rendering abstraction) than other, popular, game engines. As mentioned in other articles, the whole rendering process of Godot happens in a server. Rastering is done via another opaque interface, Rasterizer , which, in Godot 3.0, Godot uses OpenGL ES 3.0
