Actors often hold up objects awkwardly so you can click on them. This isn't a big apocalyptic video game betrayal cutscene where a villain reveals himself and destroys a castle, instead it's a smaller deeper betrayal that instantly brought me back to being a teenager. A high concept with a high execution.

This concept of “secret” doesn’t really make sense in a strategy game, contest, or a puzzle. The Final Fantasy games up until about X or so also had certain kinds of world objects you could click on and potentially get an item, which is also a common sort of secret. They are findable.
