I completed the main campaign in Redfall ( official site, Steam , also on Game Pass), a 4 player co-op open world shooter by Arkane Austin, who's mostly known for detailed single player story-filled action games. There are two open world regions, Redfall Commons and Burial Point. OK you get the idea. Let's zoom out.

So… DikuMUDs started to add scripting systems , which were generally much more limited than the ones on LPMuds, but fit better with the whole “fill out some rows in a form to add content” development model. Carnage is the first Diku game where you really see stuff comparable to quests from World of Warcraft. It’s generic. So is FFXIV.
