For the tileset animation I think it was as simple as having needed to set it to match whatever tile size the map is currently using, rather than always using the standard size. How about the map export function?

Godot supports the XML format for saving scenes and resources, but we had problems with it: Scenes are saved packed in xml, so the content is uncomprehensible. Some of the editors are also always shown with persistent buttons: Output console. New text-based scene format.
