we have completed the transformation of the engine-builtin Custom Pipeline using RenderGraph. It will support the implementation of engine builtin Custom Pipeline and the default Deferred Pipeline. We also support Compute Shader capabilities. There are already many well-known Cocos games published on the platform on their own.

Godot 4.0 will get a new, modernized lightmapper

Let's hope this implementation will also be of use to others making their own technology or engines, so they can use it as reference or just copy it. The new lightmapper is GPU based written mostly on Compute shaders (meaning it does most of the heavy lifting using the GPU, via Vulkan). Allows baking dynamic and static lights.

and included in this beta are: Asynchronous shader compilation + caching (ubershader) ( GH-53411 ). A long awaited solution to shader compilation stuttering on OpenGL, courtesy Pedro J.
