This design became common in game engines and libraries in the early 2010s. In Godot, a Button has the full inheritance chain implicit: Node -> CanvasItem -> Control -> Button -> Behavior Script. Sprite (Node -> Node2D -> Sprite). This is a common form of data-oriented optimization. EventHandler.
